This painting explores connection and its absence. I aimed to create a transmuted depiction of two figures in embrace, where negative space shapes the sense of the second presence. A transaction is suggested within the guise of connection and physical closeness. The work evokes the phantasm of connection, fleeting and unstable even in embrace.
