Springing from the notorious freak-punk music scene of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, here's the debut solo release from Tim Buchanan. Tim has spent the last four years making a name for himself as leader of Cherry Death - his cosmic country punk group often bordering on psychedelia & dirgy folk rock. Serving as his backing band on this release is Appleton, Wisconsin's own Dusk; a country-rock group featuring bassist Amos Pitsch (of punk band Tenement), vocalist/pianist Julia Blair, drummer Colin Wilde (also known under his alias Black Thumb), lead guitarist Tyler Ditter, and pedal steel guitarist Ryley Crowe. This record marks the second collaboration between Tim Buchanan and Dusk; the first being a joint U.S. tour in which Dusk doubled as a Wisconsi-fied Cherry Death.

"Tim Buchanan With Dusk... And On His Own" was produced over two days at our in-house studios at the Crutch Of Memory compound in Appleton, Wisconsin - in the heart of the "Fox River Valley". Crutch Of Memory was established several years ago, mostly as a private studio for the creative output of members of Dusk and Tenement. We've occasionally taken on outside projects by punk bands like The Bug and The Obleeks, but kept it mostly in the family. This album is our landmark first release as a record label.
