Six Portland, OR bands doing their best to 80's new wave classics
Elliot Smith produced the Jr. High track.

Tiger Stripes Forever Review by Jack Rabid

A late-'70s/early-'80s new wave tribute EP? The results are surprising. Instead of treating the likes of Gary Numan ("Cars") and Thomas Dolby ("She Blinded Me With Science") as two wooden, silly nerds, and the Go-Go's' ("Our Lips Are Sealed") as a banal, benign, throwaway fluff-pop band, no-names Rollerball, Sissyface, and Merkin approach frivolous songs as hallowed pieces, and give them less quirk-infested, more modern treatments. The other three bands pick more genuine talents to fete. XTC's "Senses Working Overtime," Blondie's "Union City Blue" and Devo's "Through Being Cool" still sound stylish in the hands of Jr. High, Sidecar, and Rattlecake. Break out the skinny ties!
