New copy
Giant Wave is a new exploratory pop solo project from Will Rockwell Ryerson.
After the dissolution of his long-running band Other Colors in 2017, he took some time to develop new ideas for producing and presenting his music. Seeking out fresh production settings and arrangement possibilities, and experimenting with synth and percussion textures, he created highly rhythmic, dream-like soundscapes for his songs. Lyrically, snapshots of past experiences and invented realities are intuitively linked together in new ways. Recorded and mixed at home, this first EP as Giant Wave is an imaginative effort to better understand him self and the emotions around / within.
Ryerson is a Baltimore-based musician, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He also plays in Chiffon, Outer Spaces and Small Sur, among other musical activities.
