Tonights show at Berlin in NYC will be the unofficial CD release for the first draft of our brand new record that I wrote and recorded in the wake of our crazy triple rollover last March.
All of the songs are written as one continuous musical moment, written and recorded all in one recording session. It took two months to put this first draft together. The songs would come along as I processed the next complicated feeling in line. This record was a big part of my grieving process after the accident. It is a deeply emotional record and my favorite 36? thingy to date.
This release will not come out online. I will not make more than the 100 that we printed for this run. It will only ever be available at shows. If you send me a DM I may be able to save one for you to pick up. Something that I don't often get to do with the way the climate is in the music industry is share the art that I am currently wrapped up in. Usually there is a whole release schedule and by the time it comes to meet the world it's no longer something I feel emotionally connect with. I didn't want that to happen with this one, I needed to have something that represents who I am after this crazy experience. And so here we are.
